Paddling is often done solo.
In 2018 we launched PaddleLIVE®, a fully automated system so you can concentrate on your paddling and to get help in case of emergency.
Set your expected session duration, an automated message will be sent to your emergency contact to let them know your PaddlePLAN®.
During the session you’ll receive notifications when you’re nearing your pre-set trip duration to check you’re ok. You can extend your session or, if you’re in difficulty, fire a digital flare.
If you need help or you don’t respond, an alert message automatically will be sent to your emergency contact. They’ll be able to view your PaddlePLAN®, route map, current location (also integrated with what3words), the time that you started, when you planned on finishing and the battery level of your device.
Having assessed the situation, your emergency contacts can initiate an efficient rescue if they think it’s required.

PaddleLIVE® IS A SYSTEM WHICH HAS BEEN DESIGNED, WITH NO EXTRA EFFORT BY YOURSELF, TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL LAYER OF SAFETY BY AUTOMATICALLY CONNECTING YOU WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY. WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND THE USE OF PaddleLIVE® AS PART OF A MULTI-TIERED APPROACH TO SAFETY WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR REDUNDANCY AND IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE CONDITIONS AND TYPE OF PADDLING YOU WILL BE DOING. UNLIKE THE TRACKING MODES OF PADDLE LOGGER, PaddleLIVE® IS ONLY ABLE TO SEND OUT INFORMATION WHEN IT HAS A CELL SIGNAL, IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA WITH MIXED SIGNAL, PaddleLIVE WILL PACKET DATA AND KEEP TRYING. IF YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE PADDLING IN A LOCATION WITH LIMITED OR NO SIGNAL, DO ENSURE YOU TAKE ANOTHER FORM OF COMMUNICATION, LIKE A RADIO AND/OR PERSONAL LOCATOR BEACON.
